October 18th is Menopause Awareness Day and the theme this year is lifestyle medicine. There has been a lot of talk about the menopause over the last few years and a new landmark global review by the International Menopause Society (IMS) showed how lifestyle choices like nutrition, exercise, and sleep, can ease menopausal symptoms, reduce chronic-disease risk and support women’s long-term health.

The results showed that lifestyle medicine interventions were associated with reductions in vasomotor symptoms (hot flushes and flashes), improved sleep quality, enhanced mental well-being, healthier weight regulation, and reduced cardiometabolic and osteoporosis risk.

To find out how you can make changes to your lifestyle and help ease menopausal symptoms check out the individual booklets produced by the IMS here.

Finding it hard to make changes, why not book in a free telephone chat to find out how I can support you.
